My top 5 serums to combat Hyperpigmentation / dark spots

Serums to combat hyperpigmentation dark spots vitamin C serums

Dark spots and other forms of pigmentation occur when your skin produces increased levels of melanin.

Mostly, factors that can cause this are hormonal imbalance, (very common during pregnancy) acne related issues or most often it can be triggered by prolonged exposure to the sun. (So, always remember to wear sunscreen) :))

At some point, I’m sure you have all battled with some form of dark spots or picked that one pimple that ends up turning into a mark and makes you go Urgh… I definitely have.

Hence, I’m sharing with you my top 5 serums that have helped me combat this issue. The serums I am sharing have one common ingredient in them – Vitamin C. Vitamin C products have helped me with my hyperpigmentation issues.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant, meaning it helps protect the skin from damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure, not only does it help to brighten hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone, its powerful antioxidant works to diminish fine line and wrinkles. Basically, a great all rounder!

I personally love to use vitamin C serums as my night time routine followed by an extra hydrating moisturiser and eye cream. Though, you can also include vitamin C products to your day time routine, just make sure to always apply suncream for optimal protection.

There are so many vitamin C serums on the market to choose from, so below are just 5 of my favourite serums that I have found beneficial for my skin.
